Berkeley sent me a lovely little rejection letter in the mail yesterday evening. I thought you all should know. I'm actually not too sad about that one--what was I thinking applying to CA??
I actually sent you the message yesterday, and wanted to go out yesterday because my dissertation work was going terribly. But, being rejected today is also nice!!

The only good reason there would have been for them to accept you is so that you could have written back and DECLINED THEM!!
p.s. if you get read this tonight, want to get a beer at the crown down the road? at 10ish?
