Funny/sad

Today I'm listening to a podcast that discusses the ways that constant twitter, facebook, email, texting, etc. make it difficult for people to have genuine social interactions with each other. It also makes it hard for people to be alone. Meanwhile, I'm on facebook, checking email, and blogging while alone in a room full of other students.

The podcast is about a book called Alone Together by Sherry Turkle. I haven't read the book yet, but it sounds interesting.
